Dedicated to African archaeology and arts, the journal gathers original research, based on field work or on studies on material culture, syntheses, thematic issues, as well as abstracts of recently defended theses.

For its next thematic issue, Afrique : Archéologie & Arts will be devoted to Northeastern Africa, focusing on Egypt and Sudan and on the issue of water, from a palaeoenvironnmental, a socio-economic and/or a symbolic point of view. The contributions can either be short notes on recent excavation or collective work, or papers bringing a new light on specific issues of the archaeology or ancient art of the region during the middle Holocene.

The thematic issue will be published during the last quarter of 2016, in December at the latest. See attached the editorial policy and authors guidelines.
